Overview

Dr. Christopher Cully is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, as well, he holds a Tier II NSERC Canada Research Chair in Space Plasma. Some of his research includes space physics; space-, balloon- and ground-based instrumentation; and spacecraft-plasma interactions. In the next few years, Dr. Cully will be focusing on developing spaceflight hardware for a Canadian mission called RADICALS, designed to explore high-energy particles that exit Earth’s radiation belts and hit the upper atmosphere. He is the deputy principal investigator for the mission and will be leading the development of an X-ray imaging instrument for the mission’s satellite.
