Apply to the 10-month Haskayne Master of Management in 4 simple steps

Want to get your master’s and launch your career by 2023? Yes, you read that right! It’s possible, but you’ll have to submit your application by June 30. But don’t worry, there’s still plenty of time!

If you’ve recently graduated with a non-business bachelor’s degree and you’re asking yourself, “What’s next?” the might be right for you. Designed for those with no more than three years’ post-bachelor’s degree work experience, Haskayne’s unique 10-month Master of Management program has been thoughtfully designed to complement your non-business undergraduate degree with business essentials, helping you to stand out in an increasingly competitive job market. And the best part is applications for Fall 2022 are open until June 30.

If you want to gain a business foundation and launch your career by 2023, you still have time to apply.

Getting an application together for a graduate program sounds daunting, but we promise it’s easier than you think. Here’s how you can apply to the Haskayne Master of Management in four simple steps.

1. Start your application

First up, you’ll have to create your . This will give you access to your application form and student account. If you’ve previously studied at the ɫ, good news! You can use your existing UCID. If you’ve forgotten your UCID, the application system will allow you to retrieve it.

Now that you have your eID, you’re ready to fill out your online application. All you need to provide is some personal information and school dates of attendance. Once you’re happy with your application, just pay your application fee and submit!

2. Access your Student Centre

Once your application has been submitted and your application fee has been received, an automated email from the ɫ’s Faculty of Graduate Studies will be sent to you within two days. The email includes instructions on how to access your Student Centre and who to contact if you have any questions. Through your Student Centre, you can submit your supporting documents and check the status of your application.

3. Submit your supporting documents

First, you’ll need to request your official transcripts. These are required from all post-secondary institutions you’ve attended, and you’ll need to reach out to these institutions to request for them to be sent to Haskayne Graduate Admissions. If you previously studied at UCalgary, you do not need to submit your transcripts – we have them on file! Visit our for full details of transcript requirements.

Next, you’ll need to provide the following three documents by uploading them in your Student Centre:

Unofficial transcripts

We understand that your official transcripts may take some time to get to us. By submitting your unofficial transcripts upfront, this will help us assess your application faster.

Essay

You will be asked to answer two short essay questions (250 words) for your application. One question asks about your reasons for pursuing your Master of Management program and the other asks about skills you learned in your bachelor’s degree that will benefit you in the program.

This will help us understand the level of work experience you’re bringing into the program. Remember – this program is for those with no more than 3 years’ professional work experience.

If English isn’t your first language, you’ll also have to provide your language proficiency test results. Refer to the for full details of these requirements.

4. Your application is complete! What happens next?

Your application will be reviewed by the admission committee for a decision on your admission to the program. You’ll be notified of our decision via email.
