The countdown is on to the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. There’s only three weeks until Calgarians put on their plaid, buff their belt buckles and spread some Stampede cheer — yahoo!

The Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà is proud to partner with the Calgary Stampede once again, offering the UCalgary community a 20-per-cent discount on select evening show tickets which includes the GMC Rangeland Derby and the Bell Grandstand Show. Tickets also include entrance to Stampede Park. 

UCalgary students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, volunteers and friends can purchase discounted tickets for evening show performances taking place on:  

• Sunday, July 10 

• Monday, July 11 

• Tuesday, July 12 

• Wednesday, July 13  

• Sunday, July 17 

The discount code is valid until July 4. Tickets can be purchased through the with the promo code 2022UOFC. Tickets are available in select sections of the grandstand including Level 1 north, south and centre; Level 1 ends; Level 7 premium; and Level 7 centre. There is a maximum of 16 tickets per order. 

Save the date —  the President’s Stampede Barbecue is back! 

After two years, the Stampede spirit is back on campus. President Ed McCauley invites you to enjoy a special lunch with our community during the President’s Stampede Barbecue. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, July 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Watch your UCalgary email for an invitation and link to RSVP. UCalgary will once again be collecting donations for the SU Campus Food Bank during the event. 

Walk with UCalgary in the Stampede parade  

UCalgary is looking for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to walk with the float in the Stampede parade. Volunteers will be energetic, positive representatives of the university prepared to engage viewers along the route. for a chance to be selected as a parade volunteer. Also joining our volunteers will be chancellor-elect Jon Cornish, kicking off his term as Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà 15th chancellor.
