Hailey Laura Berlinguette was the oldest of three children, with two younger brothers. She lived in St. Paul, Alta., and recently accepted a new position with Child and Family Services. 

She was also a volunteer with Elk Point RCMP Victim Services and was a strong advocate for addictions and mental health. She loved animals, traveling, baking, and swimming. Upon completion of her degree, she would have been the first person in her family to earn an undergraduate degree.
