Professor Robert Hamilton's research was cited in a recent PEI Court of Appeal decision.
Professor Robert Hamilton's article 鈥淎蹿迟别谤 Tsilhqot鈥檌n Nation: The Aboriginal Title Question in Canada鈥檚 Maritime Provinces鈥, 67 U.N.B.L.J. 58 was cited in the Price Edward Island Court of Appeal decision听 Mi'kmaq of P.E.I. v. Province of P.E.I. et al., 2019 PECA 26.
The Mi'kmaq challenged the provincial government's sale of the Mill River resort to a private businessman in P.E.I. Supreme Court, claiming the province had not met its听duty to consult with First Nations on the sale of Crown land in January 2018.
