Shelly-Ann Douse joins Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà Medical Group

UCMG manager serves in key business administration and finance role

The Cumming School of Medicine (CSM) is pleased to announce Shelly-Ann Douse’s appointment as manager, Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà Medical Group (UCMG). Her appointment took effect Feb. 25.

Shelly-Ann comes to the CSM from within the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, having spent four years as a Senior Compliance Officer with Research Services. She’s a designated accountant with over 15 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, audit and compliance.

In her previous role, Shelly-Ann was responsible for report writing, financial reporting, budget development, risk mitigation and process review. She reviewed a range of research grant proposals, ensuring compliance with funder and UCalgary policies. Funding partners for these grants included the Canada Foundation for Innovation, Genome Canada,ÌýWestern Economic Diversification and Alberta Economic Development and Trade,Ìýtotalling more than $195 million per year.

Shelly-Ann completed a Master of Business Administration from Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà Haskayne School of Business this past year while working full-time.
