Support for working from home
At the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, the health and safety of our community is our number-one priority. The COVID-19 situation is rapidly evolving, and business continuity planning is ongoing for faculty, staff and students.Ìý The Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ’s campuses remain open.Ìý However, we recognize that manyÌýfaculty and staffÌýare able to work from home, and weÌýwantÌýtoÌýsupport those individuals who wish to work from home.
Remote working guidelinesÌýand resourcesÌýfor employees and leaders
Faculty and staffÌýare expected to takeÌýthe followingÌýsteps toÌýenableÌýworking onlineÌýfrom home. ÌýThese actions willÌýensure you will have the capability to login and ensure all data transmissions are secure.
- If you have a Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ-issued laptop, please follow the necessary protocols to securely connect from home.Ìý
- If you do not have a Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ-issued laptop, we request that you use your personal desktop or laptop. You will need your Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà IT Asset Tag prior to contacting IT for remote access assistance. This tag is found on your university-issued device – a picture of the tag is included below. If you unable to come into the office, please ask a colleague to send you the asset tag number.Ìý
- Once you have your asset tag number, please call theÌýITÌýhelpdesk to set up access from your home computer.
The Ìýwill be available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from ÌýMarch 17 to 20.ÌýWe anticipate high volumes of calls to the support centre in the coming days and appreciate your patience as we work to support you during these challenging times.Ìý
