Introduction

(Return to Top)

Continuing Education provides quality adult learning opportunities.

Objectives

(Return to Top)

In support of the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ's core principles, Continuing Education responds to the needs of the community by facilitating the development of, and access to, non-traditional credit, professional development and other lifelong learning opportunities. Continuing Education is mandated:

· To administer credit courses through Special Sessions, including Spring and Summer Sessions, Weekend University, Credit Travel Study, the Avid Learner's Academy and the French Centre;

· To offer university-level non-credit courses and programs to adult learners, without regard to their previous education level; and

· To administer the programs of the French Centre, and to organize other non-traditional offerings as requested by the University.

The French Centre Drop In

The French Centre (Craigie Hall C 301) is a friendly "drop-in" place for those wishing to speak in the French language. The atmosphere is relaxed, and there is a good supply of magazines, newspapers, dictionaries, books and games.
