General Faculties Council
Subject to the authority of the Board of Governors, General Faculties Council is primarily responsible for the academic affairs of the University. The General Faculties Council consists of:
路the President (as Chair),
路the Vice-Presidents,
路the Dean of each Faculty,
路the Director of Information Resources,
路the Registrar,
路the elected members representing the Faculties,
路two students nominated by the council of the Students' Union,
路one student nominated by the council of the Graduate Students' Association, and
路the appointed members, who include:
路13 students representing each faculty,
路the Academic Officer for Student Affairs,
路the Director of Information Technologies,
路the President of the Faculty Association,
路one representative of the Alumni Association,
路one representative of the Graduate Students' Association,
路one member elected by Student and Academic Services, and
路one member elected by the Library Council
Non-Voting observers include:
路two representatives from the Senate,
路one representative from the Management and Professional Staff,
路one representative from the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees, and
路the Associate Vice-President (Academic)
