The Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà and the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) offer a graduate program leading to a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Development degree. This program is delivered in Quito, Ecuador, South America over a period of 12 months. Students enter the program with a broad range of educational and experience backgrounds many from energy and environment organizations, including government agencies. The objective of this program is to equip students with a background in energy/environmental management such that they will be able to work to ensure sustainable energy development and will be able to work to minimize the impact of development on the environment. This program brings together students, primarily from the Latin American and Caribbean region, who work in multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary learning environments. While the students are completing their degree program, they will also have the opportunity to work on special projects for their or other agencies or organizations to further implement and develop their skills. Instruction is offered by members of the Faculties of Environmental Design, Law, the Schulich School of Engineering and the Haskayne School of Business of the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà and from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito. This program was originally taught by the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà in partnership with the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE). |
