Effective Writing Requirement

All students must complete the Effective Writing Requirement by May 1 of their first year of registration at the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ. Those who do not do so will have their registration for the following Fall term courses and all subsequent courses withheld until they meet the requirement. Students are encouraged to meet this requirement in their first term.  Please see the Academic Regulations section of the Calendar under C. Competence Tests for details.

Continuity of Program

Students whose registration has been inactive for two years must reapply for admission and will be required to meet current BCR program requirements if readmitted.

The required twenty full-course equivalents in the four-year degree and the ten full-course equivalents in the two-year degree must have been completed within ten years of the date of Enrolment in the BCR program in order for the degree to be awarded.

Permission to Complete Courses at an Outside Institution

In the four-year program, up to ten full-course equivalents and in the two-year program, up to five full-course equivalents may be completed at other universities in Canada or elsewhere. Written permission must be obtained from the Student Advisor, Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies prior to registering at another university.
