Honours students in Sociology will take at least eight and not more than 12 full-course equivalents in Sociology, which must include:
(a) Three full-course equivalents including Sociology 201, 311, 313, 315, 331 and 333.
(b) One of the following: Sociology 205, 307, 309, 405, or 467.
(c) Three and one-half full-course equivalents at the 400-level which must include Sociology 400, and may include Sociology 501 conference courses.
Note: Sociology Honours cannot have more than one and one-half Sociology full-course equivalents at the 200-level. Under special circumstances, permission may be given to students to take courses at the 600-level. Completion of the Honours program will entail the submission of an acceptable Honours Thesis for Sociology 400. Prior to seeking ethics approval for research on human subjects, Honours students will be required to submit a written proposal acceptable to the supervisor.
