Awards Application Deadlines

Chancellor's Club Scholarships, Seymour Schulich Academic Excellence Scholarships, Seymour Schulich Community Service/Entrepreneurial Awards, and the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ Entrance Awards for International Students: December 15 (of year prior to entering the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ)

High School Awards: April 1

Medical Elective Awards: April 1

Faculty of Law Awards: May 1

Continuing Undergraduate Awards (including Faculty of Education Awards): August 1

Faculty of Medicine Awards: August 10

Transfer Awards: October 1

Awards Application Procedure

Award applications are available in the online Student Centre and must be submitted by their respective deadlines.

Award Payment Information

With the exception of certain prizes and scholarships for graduating students, or if otherwise stated in the award conditions, the payment of monetary awards is contingent upon the recipient maintaining full-time enrolment at the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ through the upcoming Fall and Winter terms.Â Exceptions are made for students participating in official exchanges and term abroad programs where tuition is paid to the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ. To support international study experiences, a student attending an international post-secondary institution as a full-time visiting student on a letter of permission and paying tuition to that institution will be reviewed for awards eligibility on a case-by-case basis.

Payment of tuition and fees is the first charge against student awards.Â Award values stated as "Tuition and Fees" do not include differential fees.
Students with incomplete grades are not considered for awards until their final grade is posted by their professor or department.

Policy and Regulations

In support of the Academic Plan, undergraduate awards are distributed among the most deserving students and in keeping with the terms of reference.

If a student is granted an award, the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ reserves the right to release pertinent recipient information to award donors, high schools, provincial funding bodies, Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ faculty and administrative offices and public news agents.Â Specific information may be used by the University for promotional purposes.
The University assumes liability for the payment of scholarships, bursaries, prizes and other awards only to the extent that gifts from donors, or returns from particular investments for these purposes, will permit.
This Calendar is published a considerable time before the beginning of the next academic term, therefore the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ reserves the right to make whatever changes circumstances require, including the cancellation or addition of particular awards.
