4.14.5 Minor in Communications Studies

The Minor in Communications Studies is regulated by the section of the Faculty of Arts Graduation Requirements entitled 3.4.4 Minor Fields. Students must successfully complete at least 30 and not more than 36 units (5.0 and not more than 6.0 full-course equivalents) from the Field of Communications Studies. The Communications Studies Minor also requires:

1. Core Courses: 12 units (2.0 full-course equivalents) from Communications Studies 201, 203, 371, 381, 393 and either Communications Studies 363 or 369.

2. Topics Courses: An additional 6 units (1.0 full-course equivalent) from courses labelled Communications Studies at the 400 level or above.

3. Communication and Culture Options: An additional 12 units (2.0 full-course equivalents) from additional courses labelled Communications Studies or Film Studies.
