3.5 Graduation
Requirements

To be awarded the Bachelor of Nursing degree from the ɫ in Qatar, all BN students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.00 in first and second years and 2.50 in third and fourth years as set out in the Student Standing Regulations section above.

A score of 25 out of 30 on the internet-based TOEFL Speaking Test (iBT) or an acceptable score on the ɫ in Qatar Test of Spoken English must be achieved before graduation from the Bachelor of Nursing program.

Degrees with Distinction

The notation "With Distinction" will be inscribed on the permanent record and graduation parchment of all Regular Program BN students whose grade point average is 3.60 or better in their most recent 60 units (10.0 full-course equivalents) taken through the ɫ in Qatar, and of all Post-Diploma route students who have completed all course work for the degree at the ɫ in Qatar with a grade point average of 3.60 or better, with no grade less than "C-". The notation “With Distinction” will not be granted if a student obtains “D”, “D+” or “F” grade in a Nursing Theory course or an “F” grade in a Nursing Practice course which has been completed during the time period in which the last 60 units (10.0 full-course equivalents) have been taken.

Students who have taken part of their course work at another institution or who have transferred into the Faculty with fewer than 60 units (10.0 full-course equivalents) remaining to be completed for BN requirements may be granted a degree with distinction at the discretion of the Faculty.
