Open Studies is administered by the Office of the Registrar. Students in this registration category are permitted to take credit courses, however are not admitted to a program leading to degree, diploma or certificate. Open Studies degree holders and non-degree holder registration categories are available to students who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Open Studies is a non-designated learning program as defined by the Alberta Government. For information on exchange, visiting or the International Foundation Program (IFP), see the applicable section under Section A: Admissions. Note: Current Open Studies students who wish to apply for admission to a degree program will have the application for admission fee waived, provided there is no more than a 12-month break between their studies and they have not attended another post-secondary institution. |
