Supply Chain Management Analysis
Current issues confronting supply chain managers are examined. The role of supply chain management in the overall strategy and performance of companies is studied. Students analyze real-world cases and develop suitable solutions to improve supply chain operations. Topics include advanced inventory management, supply chain co-ordination, network design and risk management. An in-depth analysis of strategic procurement practices for competitive advantage, cost management, contractual negotiations and supplier management. Strategic implications of supply processes, outsourcing, and supplier relations are discussed. Logistics entails some of the major operations of supply chains. The objective of this course is to introduce the general concepts and analytical tools of logistics management from a supply chain perspective.
