Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà Calendar 2020-2021 Welcome A Message from the President
A Message from the President

Welcome to the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, a learning environment where we drive, imagine and create the future. Our campus community of students, faculty and staff fuel this pursuit of knowledge and world-class scholarship, as recognized by the Center for World University rankings, Times Higher Education, and U.S. News and World Report. These organizations consistently rank the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà amongst Canada’s leading research universities and top 200 universities globally, based on metrics such as international collaboration, conferences, research reputation and publications.

Our five campuses and satellite research stations offer an incomparable student experience that will encourage you to collaborate, lead, discover and immerse yourself in meaningful learning. We have built an inclusive and welcoming environment where we hope you will feel free to challenge yourself and to get involved in co-curricular options — from student clubs, to Dinos Athletics, to active living courses. Moreover, we do not operate in a silo, but as a connected and collaborative member of the surrounding community. We create opportunities for our students to share their expertise with the public, develop their entrepreneurial skills, crowdfund their start-ups, volunteer with community agencies, and engage in valuable work-integrated learning.

Both student experience and impact are embedded at the core of Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà 2018-23 integrated Academic and Research Plans, which translate our greatest ambitions into action. These plans are the roadmap to success that will deliver on the expectations of our Eyes High 2017-22 institutional strategy, and most importantly, exceed the expectations of our learners like you.

Your university journey begins here, and only you can choose where it will lead you. Welcome to the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà — let’s get started!

Dr. Ed McCauley
President and Vice-Chancellor
