Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà Calendar 2021-2022 Admissions A.5 Undergraduate Admission Requirements A.5.6 Indigenous Admissions A.5.6.2 Indigenous Admission Supplementary Process
A.5.6.2 Indigenous Admission Supplementary Process

Students who do not meet the course requirements as outlined in section A.5.1.1 (Admission Requirements) will be considered as follows:

  • Present the successful completion of ELA 30-1 or ELA 30-2, or equivalent, and at least two other approved courses that may include one approved option. A high school diploma is not required and some faculties may require specific courses for admission consideration.
  • Faculties with Indigenous bridging programs that provide academic upgrading may consider courses at the 20 level.
  • Applicants with prior post-secondary studies must be in good academic standing and present prerequisite courses. Faculties may waive course requirements when an academic upgrading option is available through an Indigenous bridging program.
  • All applicants will be asked to provide a personal statement in the format of the student’s choice (oral, written, video etc.) that outlines their educational goals and how their past education, cultural knowledge, life and work experiences will enable them to succeed in university studies.
  • References may be requested at the discretion of the faculty admission committee.

A faculty specific admission committee will review all complete applications submitted but not eligible through the Indigenous Admission Process. Not all faculties may consider students for admission through this process.

Faculties with specific support pathways have requirements outlined below.
