Psychology 203       Psychology for Everyday Life
Provides students with an understanding of the key theories, research methods, and discoveries in coping and resilience, identity development, interpersonal relationships, and mental health with an emphasis on developing the knowledge and skills necessary to be effective consumers of psychological theory and research. Through a focus on adjustment issues that arise in everyday life, this course will demonstrate some of the ways in which psychology can be used to benefit students’ wellbeing in their personal and professional lives.

Psychology 204       Human Sexuality
Examination of contemporary knowledge and attitudes toward human sexuality, relying on theoretical and empirical psychological research. Multiple perspectives are presented, including psychosocial, cross-cultural, and psychobiological. Sexuality across the life span is examined, including issues pertaining to sexual differentiation, intimacy and communication, gender role development, varieties of sexual relationships and behaviour, and legal and ethical issues.

Health psychology involves the discipline and principles of psychology and human behaviour in understanding how the mind, body, and behaviour interact in health and disease. The behavioural effects of drugs specifically employed to affect the nervous system, as seen in the treatment of mental disorders, behavioural disorders, and other conditions such as Parkinson's, Huntington's and Alzheimer's diseases.
