Graduate students are assessed general fees as listed in the fees chart below and as stated in their . Refer to the Academic Schedule for payment deadlines.
General fees are assessed on either a per-term or annual basis depending on the type of fee. All registered students must pay the fees as assessed.
Students enrolled in course-based programs are considered off-campus when they are not registered in any course components (lecture, lab, tutorial, seminar) on Main Campus, Foothills, Spy Hill or downtown locations during a term.
Distance Delivery programs refer to approved programs that are designed to be completely remote but may include a short on-campus residency. These programs include: Doctor of Education, Master of Education, Educational Research Certificates and Diplomas, Master of Counselling, Bridge to Teaching Certificate, Doctor of Design, Social Work Certificates, Social Work Master’s and Doctoral students based in Edmonton and Lethbridge, Graduate Certificates in Advanced Nursing Practice, Doctor of Nursing, and Master of Nursing (thesis- and course-based programs).
Visiting and exchange students, including students joining through a Western Deans' agreement, will be assessed the Campus Recreation and Student Services fees in the terms in which they are registered.
