Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà Calendar 2023-2024 Faculty of Social Work 3. Faculty Regulations 3.2 Registration 3.2.1 Course Load
3.2.1 Course Load

In the Calgary, Edmonton and Lethbridge BSW, the normal course load is 15 units in Fall and Winter.

In the Community-Based Learning Circles and Virtual Learning Circles BSW, the normal course load is 9 units in Fall and Winter.

All students are strongly encouraged to complete their Social Work 500 level courses during Spring and Summer.

Enrolling in more courses than the recommended load may represent substantial burden and could negatively impact overall performance. Students wishing to complete more than the normal load must receive permission from the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs. Permission will not be granted for the admission term.

Newly admitted students who do not register and attend the term to which they were admitted must reapply for admission and will be considered using the admission criteria in effect at the time of re-application.
