Strategic venture philanthropy with real-world impact
UCeed is critical for the future economic and talent diversification of our city and our province. A core program at Canada’s most entrepreneurial university and the country’s largest philanthropically driven university-based venture fund, UCeed is the culmination of Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà focus on entrepreneurial thinking, invention, innovation, education and community impact.
UCeed is funded entirely through philanthropic support and made possible by the community, for the community.Â
UCeed spurs innovation, helps commercialize new technologies, and accelerates Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìàstartup companies. By leveraging new forms of discovery, creativity, invention and entrepreneurship, UCeed propels economic growth and solves societal challenges at the local and global scale.Â

Haskayne Student Fund
UCeed Haskayne Students Fund is supported by the generosity of the Cannonball Sport and Education Foundation and UCalgary donors wanting to make an impact.
Child Health Fund
UCeed Child Health is funded by the generosity of our community through the  and their mission to inspire our community to invest in excellence in child health, research and family centred care.
Health Fund
UCeed Health Fund is supported by the generosity of the River Fund at the  and their mission to build a healthy and vibrant community where everyone belongs.
Social Impact Fund
UCeed Social Impact Fund is supported by the generosity of and their mission to mobilize communities for lasting social change, the Government of Alberta through the Creative Partnerships Alberta initiative, and private philanthropists and social enterprise champions.
Energy Fund
UCeed Energy is possible thanks to a founding gift from business leader, Don Archibald, and support from the Tamaratt Fund at Calgary Foundation and UCalgary's Global Research Initiative.
Neuro Fund
UCeed Neuro was launched thanks to the T. Boone Pickens Foundation, with support from Brian and Stephanie Felesky and continues to be funded with donations raised at Tourmaline Oil’s annual golf tournament.
