Ashley Harris

Dr. Ashley Harris is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology and a member of the Child and Adolescent Imaging Research Program at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. With a background in Biomedical Engineering, she applies neuroimaging to understand brain physiology and pathophysiology. After obtaining her PhD at the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, she was a post-doctoral fellow at the Cardiff University Brain Imaging Research Centre and used respiratory challenges to examine the cerebral response to different conditions such as inspiratory hypoxia. She then moved to the Johns Hopkins University where she performed spectroscopy methods development as well as studying various developmental and neurological disorders. She has particular expertise in magnetic resonance spectroscopy and is interested in using and combining spectroscopy with multimodal MR imaging. Her research interests include brain injury, chronic pain, non-invasive neurostimulation, development and developmental disorders and aging.
