Delowar Hossain
Dr. Delowar Hossain is a Postdoctoral Associate with the Cumming School of Medicine and Faculty of Kinesiology, the ɫ, Calgary, Canada. He received his PhD degree from the Graduate School of Science and Engineering for Education, University of Toyama, Japan. He worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Assistive Robotic Laboratory, Hosei University, Tokyo, and also worked as a Research Scientist at the Fairy Devices Inc., Tokyo, Japan. He was a Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Dhaka International University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. His expertise included Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Image processing, and Signal Processing.
Dr. Hossain is now working on the Pan-Canadian research program, “Surveillance in High Schools to Reduce Concussions and Consequences of Concussion – SHRed Concussion”, which is a 3-year longitudinal cohort study to evaluate concussion diagnostic tools, prognostic indicators, and prevention and management strategies in youth.SHRed will inform a reduction in the burden of sport-related concussions (SRC) and their consequences across all youth sport populations in alignment with the NFL goal to facilitate the translation of original research into clear clinical endpoints that advantage patients and advance understanding of short and long-term effects of concussion.
