Sciences Po Lille Summer School
Sciences Po Lille is one of France's "Grandes Écoles" for International Relations, and is located just 1 hour Northeast from Paris, 40 minutes from Brussels and less than 2 hours from London.
Sciences Po Lille's summer school is a highly selective program offering a look into challenges facing the EU, encouraging student-led solutions to real-world issues, while offering a French language and cultural immersion program.ÌýAttend courses taught by esteemed guest lecturers from around the globe, and gain experiential learning into challenges facing European governance and the UN. As a part of the summer school you will have an opportunity to study the art of French Cooking, and take day trips to Paris and Brussels, experience a tour of the city of Lille, and more fun social outings.

Course Credits:
6 ECTS =Ìý3 UCalgary unitsÌý(1 half-course).Ìý
UCalgary students must take at least 2 classes on this program (6 ECTS)Ìýin order to receive credit. Sciences Po Lille allows students to take up to 4 classes (12 ECTS), which will transfer back to your degree as 2 UCalgary half-courses.

Costs
Students pay tuition to UCalgary. Rest of the fees paid to the host school include a 100€ registration fee and 800€ accommodation fee.Ìý

Since you remain a degree seeking student at UCalgary while on exchange you remain eligible for anyÌýÌýyou are eligible to receive from the university as well asÌý.Our office administers several awards, including the Global Access Fund (based on a funding-first model where students apply prior to committing to a global learning program) and the (students apply after being accepted to a global learning program; the amount varies year-to-year as the money is split among chosen recipients). Students may only receive these awards once. Please see the funding page, linked below, for more information.

Housing is located walking distance from campus.
This exchange is open to regular, full-time students in any faculty at UCalgary, who have completed at least 1 full year (10 courses) at the post-secondary level, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 (B-).
Although most courses are taught in English for the summer program, we do recommend that students have completed at least one year of French at the university level (or possess the equivalent skills) before participating in this exchange, to help with daily life.
