Closed Programs:Â Exchange students are encouraged not to take "Honours" modules. Access to Business and Kinesiology (sport & exercise science) courses is not guaranteed. Spaces in Architecture and Social Work are limited.
Course Information:
Courses at Brookes are called "modules". Students take 4 modules per semester. One UCalgary half course equivalent = 12 UK credits (or 6 ECTS credits). Module descriptions can be found online, however, students should read through the course information for exchange students prior to choosing their modules.
The academic year is divided into . Semester 1 runs from late September to late December. Semester 2 runs from late January to late May.

Exchange students pay their tuition and academic fees to the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ. Other expenses are paid directly to the service provider.

Funding
Did you know that you can take your UCalgary funding with you on exchange?Â
Since you remain a degree seeking student at UCalgary while on exchange you remain eligible for any  you are eligible to receive from the university as well as .Our office administers several awards, including the Global Access Fund (based on a funding-first model where students apply prior to committing to a global learning program) and the (students apply after being accepted to a global learning program; the amount varies year-to-year as the money is split among chosen recipients). Students may only receive these awards once. Please see the funding page, linked below, for more information.Ìý
Exchange students can choose to live in on-campus  or they can choose to arrange their own off-campus housing.
This exchange is open to regular, full-time students in any faculty at the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, who have completed at least 1 full year (10 courses) at the post-secondary level, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
Students apply to UCalgary first, then we nominate accepted students who have met the minimum requirements to our partners. Once you have been nominated to Oxford Brookes, you will then apply directly to their exchange program.
Students traveling on passports from countries that don't have English as a first language must prove their English proficiency. For more information about Brookes' requirements click .
