Leslie Reid was appointed vice-provost (teaching and learning) of the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, effectiveÌýJan. 1, 2018 to June 30, 2023.Ìý

Leslie was the associate dean, teaching and learning, in the Faculty of Science, from 2012-2017. She has been with the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà since 2001, where she started as a graduate teaching fellow in the department of geoscience. Leslie played a leadership role in the development of the Eyes HighÌýstrategy 2017-22, acting as co-chairÌýof the Oversight Committee since 2016.

She has been awarded an Excellence in Educational Leadership Award from the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, is a member of the Taylor Institute Teaching Academy and was a 3M National Teaching Fellow in 2011, the most prestigious teaching award in Canada. Leslie holds a BSc (with honours, Geology) from the University of Ottawa, a MSc (structural geology), and a PhD from the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ. Leslie is an accomplished leader and has made exceptional contributions to teaching and learning during her tenure at the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ.
