The designation "Choreography and Performance Concentration" will appear on the transcripts of students of Dance Majors who successfully audition prior to beginning their third year and complete the program of study below. The Concentration requires an additional 4.5 full-course equivalents from the Field of Dance and results in an overall program with from 15.5 to 17 full-course equivalents from the Field of Dance.
Students are required to take the following courses:
1. Core: Dance 395, 397, 431, 433, 505, 507, 581.
2. Jazz or Ballet: Either Dance 411 and 413, or Dance 421 and 423 without exception.
Students completing the concentration may use Dance courses to replace up to 1.0 full course equivalent in courses from outside the Field of the Fine Arts but within the Faculties of Arts, Kinesiology and Science.
