4.49.4 BMus in Integrated Studies

The Major is designed for students looking to build strong musical skills in a comprehensive music degree. The flexibility of years three and four allows students to gain a broad musical knowledge (for example, equal parts MUHL, MUPF and MUTC) OR to fuse two or more areas of musical study in a way that they are unable to in the other majors (for example performance and composition, music and technology, performance and early music studies). Admission to this major will depend on a statement of interest submitted to the Head of the Department of Music at the end of the first year of studies.

A. FACULTY OF ARTS REQUIREMENTS

Students must adhere to the applicable Faculty of Arts requirements in 3.4 Graduation.

B. MAJOR-FIELD REQUIREMENTS AND NORMAL SEQUENCE

The BMus in Integrated Studies requires the successful completion of the following program of study, which includes 13.0 to 17.0 full-course equivalents in the Field of Music:

First Year: Common Program for all BMus Majors

Second Year

Third Year

Fourth Year
