Embedded Certificate in Entrepreneurial Thinking

2. Admission

Undergraduate students are considered for admission to the Embedded Certificate in Entrepreneurial Thinking once they have completed 15 units.

3. Program Requirements

Undergraduate students must successfully complete a minimum of 18 units from the Field of Entrepreneurial Thinking as follows, with a maximum of 12 units from any one Faculty:

a) Core courses (6 units): Entrepreneurship and Innovation 201 (non-business students) or 317 (business students), and Entrepreneurship and Innovation 529. Note: non-business students may substitute an approved entrepreneurial project in their major field's capstone course for Entrepreneurship and Innovation 529.

b) Electives (12 units): An additional 12 units from the Field of Entrepreneurial Thinking, of which a minimum of 6 units must be at the 400 level or above, and a minimum of 6 units must be from the list flagged as entrepreneurial focused.

4. Field of Entrepreneurial Thinking

The field of Entrepreneurial Thinking consists of all courses labelled Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ENTI), and those courses flagged as related to, or focused on, entrepreneurial thinking. A full, up-to-date list of approved courses is maintained on the certificate’s website: .

Notwithstanding inclusion on the list, students are cautioned that some of the field courses may be in high demand, may have prerequisites that lie outside of the field, may be restricted-program courses, and/or may not be suitable towards their degree program. Registration in these courses is not assured. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that enrolment restrictions, requisites, and degree regulations are met.
