Language proficiency at the level of Chinese 303 or higher is required. Students who have not completed Chinese 303 will be evaluated using standard placement procedures for Chinese courses.

Undergraduate students must successfully complete a minimum of 15 units from the courses below:

a) Core courses 12 units: Chinese 353, 411, 412 and 413.

b) Elective courses 3 units from: Language 451, 500, 599, Education 430, or 435.

The Field of Chinese Teacher Training consists of the following courses:

• Chinese 353, 411, 412, 413
• Education 430*, 435*

*Education 430 and 435 are restricted to students in the BEd program.
