Thinking big and broad? Career fairs offer the benefit of large-scale, high-volume events with maximum reach. Each fair is designed to help employers connect with the right students, ensuring each has the best opportunity to make the right connections at our events.


Industry Career Fair

September 24, 2024 | 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. MT
Location: MacEwan Hall A/B

Our first fair of the year serves as a valuable opportunity for companies to connect with students across various programs as they demonstrate their company culture and brand, build networks, and advertise upcoming opportunities. It's highly attended by engineering and technical students and has become increasingly popular among students of all faculties. This fair attracts organizations from a variety of sectors including energy, environment, agriculture, technology, and health.

Graduate & Professional Schools Fair

October 2, 2024 | 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. MT
Location: MacEwan Hall A/B

The Graduate & Professional School Fair provides an excellent platform to showcase your academic programs and opportunities to establish connections with prospective students who are interested in pursuing further education. The primary objective is to promote advanced education and assist students in making well-informed decisions about their academic pursuits. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with prospective students and promote your institution!

Education Career Fair

Thursday, January 23, 2025 | 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. MT
Location: MacEwan Hall A/B

This fair targets Werklund School of Education students, those contemplating an after-degree in education, and individuals curious about the diverse prospects within the education sector. Whether you are looking to fill full-time or part-time roles, this fair offers an ideal platform for you to connect with potential candidates and showcase what opportunities you have to offer towards their career journey. 

Winter Career Fair

Tuesday, January 28, 2025 | 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. MT
Location: MacEwan Hall A/B

This fair stands out as one of the more diverse fairs comprising of all industries, attracting students from all faculties. It is the perfect fair to recruit for full, part-time, summer, and permanent opportunities. This fair is an excellent platform to serve as the bridge between employers and students, helping them to establish connections and pave the way for future career opportunities.

Information sessions

Host a private session with students to spotlight your company. Information sessions are an excellent way to introduce your recruitment team, network with prospective employees, promote upcoming job opportunities and show students why your organization is a great place to work. To attract the specific group of students you desire, we encourage you to optimize your session description by highlighting the skills, experiences, and values you’re seeking in potential candidates. By tailoring your description, you can attract students from various backgrounds and disciplines who are eager to learn more about your organization and explore exciting career opportunities. Take advantage of this opportunity to connect with a vibrant and diverse pool of talent.


In-person with catering | $825 + GST

  • Capacity: 100 students
  • Central venue location with high foot traffic
  • Catering provided by our events partner
  • Fee includes: advertising and marketing in our spaces, social media channels, online event calendar, student newsletters and event registration
  • Must be booked on Tuesdays or Wednesdays
  • Must be booked with 4-6 weeks notice

In-person without catering | $625 + GST

  • Capacity: 100 students
  • Central venue location with high foot traffic
  • Catering is NOT provided; you may organize at your own expense
  • Fee includes: advertising and marketing in our spaces, social media channels, online event calendar, student newsletters and event registration
  • Must be booked on Tuesdays or Wednesdays
  • Must be booked with 4-6 weeks notice

Virtual information session | $375 + GST

  • Capacity: Unlimited
  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • Platform: Zoom using guided breakout sessions, polling questions and active chat panels. We'll take care of the details so you and your team can focus on the delivery and building connections.
  • Fee includes: advertising and marketing in our spaces, social media channels, online event calendar, student newsletters and event registration 

Off-campus information session | $275 + GST

Have students come to your workspace and allow for a more tangible and immersive experience.

  • Capacity: 20 to 30 students
  • Location & Time: Hosted at your office/location on the evening of a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday 
  • The company is responsible for logistics such as room setup, catering, as well as organizing transportation for students to get from the university to the company's location then back to the university
  • Fee includes: advertising and marketing in our spaces, social media, newsletters, event registration and coordination on day of event
  • Must be booked with 4-6 weeks notice

Event promotion only | $175 + GST

Do you have your own event organized, virtually or on-campus? If you'd like to have the Centre for Career and Personal Development to promote your event information on Elevate, social media, newsletters and on our website, you can choose this option.

  • Fee includes: We'll submit your marketing to campus displays, social media, and online event calendar
    • Requires two weeks' advance notice, and your team must provide marketing materials
  • Fee does not include event planning or organization — if you require this, please refer to the above information session options

Looking to recruit exceptional talent from UCalgary? Look no further! Take advantage of the campus-wide job board in to post job opportunities and connect with students, all at no cost. Post job openings on and streamline your recruitment process.

Looking to gain maximum visibility for your job openings among UCalgary students? Promote job opportunities at the top of students’ dashboards by choosing “Featured Job Posting”. For a small fee companies can ensure that their jobs will receive prime exposure. Postings will be prominently displayed, capturing the attention of candidates actively seeking employment.


Post your job for free

Elevate's campus-wide job board reaches current UCalgary students from across all faculties, as well as recent UCalgary alumni. Targeted job boards are also available if you are looking to reach a specific faculty.

For the most effective job post, we recommend that jobs be posted for a minimum of two weeks, up to one month. You can post opportunities for the following type of positions:

Campus-wide job board

  • F/T, P/T and Summer Job Postings targeting all programs
  • Paid internships only for “recent grads” who completed their studies
  • NOTE: Volunteer positions will not be accepted

Featured job postings | $75

With a featured job, you can upload your company logo and have your job displayed at the top of Elevate's campus-wide job boards.

A limited number of featured postings are available each month.

Book interviews on campus

Streamline your process by conducting interviews for co-op, internship or new grad positions on campus. On-site interview rooms are available in Centre for Career & Personal Development (CCPD) and can be booked through .
