The Faculty of Arts offers an interdisciplinary major in International Indigenous Studies. Students must carefully select their courses to meet the requirements of this degree and they should consult with the Program Coordinator of the International Indigenous Studies program before selecting courses. Entry to the program in the first year is recommended.

There is also a Minor program available in Indigenous Studies, but not an Honours program.

Admission to the Major

Prospective students wishing to enter the BA International Indigenous Studies Program must meet the criteria in the section of this Calendar on A.2 Admission Requirements at the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ. Annual application deadlines are found in the A.3 Deadline Dates for Undergraduate Applications for Admission and Transcripts.

Most of the courses listed above have prerequisites, many of which lie outside the Field of International Indigenous Studies. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that prerequisites are completed.
