Note: Applications to this program are currently suspended while the program is under review. Students currently in General Humanities should continue to follow the program as described below.
The Bachelor of Arts in General Humanities is a four-year multidisciplinary degree. Students interested in a broad multidisciplinary program should also consider the BA (Communication and Culture) Program discussed above.
The program is designed to provide students with the opportunity of a broad education in the Humanities. It may usefully be supplemented, by way of career preparation, with courses preparatory to application for admission to a professional Faculty (e.g., Medicine), or with an appropriate Minor (e.g., the Minor in Management and Society, or Law and Society). Advice on these and related matters may be obtained from the Associate Dean (Academic Programs and Student Affairs).
Students intending to register in the BA program in General Humanities should consult with the Associate Dean (Students), Faculty of Arts, to review their proposed programs of study.
