Drop by the Women’s Resource Centre for a trans feminine self-care evening. Relax by playing board games, drinking tea and hot chocolate, making DIY bath products, button-making, meeting new friends and more.
Please note this event is specifically for trans feminine folks and their loved ones, in all ages, and free of charge.

Women, and especially women of colour, continue to face considerable barriers and obstacles in the workplace. As a cultural mediator, executive leader and First Nations woman, Monique Fry works in “two worlds” to bringreconciliation and equity to the forefront ofour collective conversations.Join us this International Women's Day as we "dig in” to Fry’s work, understand the importance of legacy, and learn how we can use Indigenous knowledge and living in a good way to progress all of our futures, together.
The morning will include a continental breakfast, a fireside chat with Monique and a question-and-answer period.

The UCalgary Fashion Network and Women's Resource Centre will be hosting a fashion show and market where local fashion vendors and students will be showcasing their best pieces. Come check out and shop locally-made, ethical and sustainable pieces. Connect with local businesses, learn from vendors and meet likeminded students.

Women in Medicine Panel

In recognition of Canadian Women Physician’s Day and Women’s Week 2023, the Libin Women’s Cardiovascular Health Initiative and Women’s Resource Centre will host a Women in Medicine panel, showcasing their academic and clinical focus while discussing the unique experiences they faced on the path toward equity in medicine. A Q & A section will follow. The panel will be moderated by Lauren Drogos, PhD, Program Director at the Libin Cardiovascular Institute.
