Scholars' Advantage Community
First-year Prestige Award recipients
Residence Services will reach out to first-year students who apply for residence and have received and accepted a prestige award by May 1.
Learning Outcomes
There is a particular focus on connecting academically high-achieving students with a community of peers, key resources on campus and opportunities for personal development. Students can expect:
- Assistance in connecting with an academic advisor in your area of study
- Leadership development activities
- Opportunity to participate in student-led Academic Council
How to Apply
There is no need to apply for this community. Those first year students that apply for residence and receive and accept a prestige award by May 1, will automatically receive a residence Scholars' Advantage Offer.
Scholars' Advantage Room Options
Those that receive a Residence Scholars' Advantage offer will have a few options they can select from for their first year in residence.
They may select to live in the Scholars' Advantage Community located in International House on the 7th floor. This community houses residents in one-bedroom suites, in a small fifteen unit community. These units are given out based on first come first serve, when these students are contacted by residence in early May.
These students may also select to live in any first year room type of accommodation they wish. They will also be placed with their roommate of choice, if they inform of their roommate preference when they inform the housing team the type of accommodation they wish.Â
