Award description

• Offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student enrolled in the Faculty of Arts, majoring or minoring in History
• Academic merit Must have taken a minimum of 2 Canadian history courses (and received a grade of B or better in at least two of these courses)
• Once selected, successful recipient will be required to complete a 500-word (maximum) statement on the importance of local history or a narrative on a person, location of note, or favourite place of interest associated with local history. This statement will be published in the E-newsletter of Chinook Country Historical Society or in the Historical Society of Alberta, History Now publication. Submitted to the Department of History (hist@ucalgary.ca)
