Course Permissions

Do you want to register for a class that has pre-requisites you either haven’t yet completed, or haven’t yet received credit for? If so, you must contact the the course to request permission to register. Whether or not permission is granted is up to the discretion of the department.

If you’re an undergraduate student who wants to register for a graduate-level course, you must contact both the department offering the course and your home faculty in order to receive permission to register for the class. Once both groups have given you permission to register in the course, you must then contact Enrolment Services so they can process your registration.

Be Aware of Multi-Term Courses

A multi-term course runs over both the fall and winter terms. You must register for the course in each term as well as pick the same class section. Multi-term courses are identified as "A" for fall and "B" for winter.

For example, to take Drama 200, register in DRAM 200A for the fall term and in DRAM 200B for the winter term. You must register for both A and B sections and complete both sections for a grade or credit.
