Tuition and Fees

Tuition and general fees charged by the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà are approved annually by the Board of Governors.Ìý UCalgary assesses tuition and general fees for each term that you are an active full- or part-time student. In addition to tuition fees, some programs have program-specific fees that are charged each term. Students pay the fees applicable to the term in which their current program of studies begin, regardless ofÌýwhen they received their letter of admission to the program.Ìý A full breakdown of assessed fees is available in the My Financials section of the Student Centre.Ìý

You can find your total fee assessment in the My Financials section of the Student Centre. Fees will populate automatically with your course or program registration.

Undergraduate Student Fees

Undergraduate students are assessed tuitionÌýbased on course enrolment and unit load.ÌýMost courses are equivalent to three (3) unitsÌýor credits. In addition to course-based tuition rates, program-specific tuition is charged per term for students enrolled into specific programs.Ìý General Fees are assessed based on academic load, full or part timeÌýstudies.

Graduate Student Fees

Graduate students in thesis-based programs areÌýassessed annual tuition, while students in course-based programs pay tuition fees on a per courseÌýbasis.Ìý In addition to course-based tuition rates, program-specific tuition is charged in each term in which a student is registered. General Fees are assessed based on theÌýstudents stated academic load, full or part timeÌýstudies.Ìý

How to Pay Your Fees?

The preferred method of payment is throughÌýonline banking with a Canadian bank account.ÌýStudents who do not have a Canadian bankÌýaccount can pay their fees through Convera GlobalPay or CIBC Student Pay.

Fee Payment Dates and Deadlines

UCalgary does not remove students from studies for late payment. Services may be withheld, and late interest may accrue for past due accounts. Fee deadlines as well as other important Academic dates and deadlines are listed in the Academic Calendar.

UCalgary offers self-service payment plansÌýfor all students. Your tuition and generalÌýfees can now be paid in installments overÌýthe term, rather than being due all at onceÌýon the term fee deadline.​
