✔Ìý Don't forget toÌýapply for residence early, because living on campus puts you as close as it gets to everything you need.
✔Ìý As a student at UCalgary, there are a variety of IT services available to you. Make sure you and UCalgary email.
✔Ìý Familiarize yourself with student services, extra-curricular activities, and campus policiesÌýby checking out our First Year Resource Guide.

✔Ìý Find out what courses you need to take by exploring ourÌýdegree guides, and try using theÌýacademic requirement planning tool.
✔Ìý Review key registration dates, watch past registration webinars, and attend orientationÌýsessions.
✔Ìý To access the best course selection,Ìýbegin registering at your enrolment start time.Ìý
✔Ìý Get to know the friendly faces atÌýNew Student Registration Assistance, andÌýconnect with yourÌýFaculty AdvisorÌýto start degree planning.
✔Ìý If you are transferring from another university, review your transfer credit report.
✔Ìý If you're an international student, reach out to International Student Services for help with your study permit, work permit, visa and other immigration questions.
✔ Step 3
✔Ìý Apply for government student assistance in June by submitting one application through your province to be assessed for federal and provincial loans and grants.
✔Ìý Remember you can't win a scholarship or bursary if you don't apply, so be sure to review which UCalgary AwardsÌýyou'reÌýeligible for, and prepare applications early.Ìý
✔Ìý Watch our University 101s with Professor Rex to learn more about using your student centre portal, financing your education, and more.
✔Ìý It can take time to organize academic accommodations. Students requiringÌýdisability-related services are encouraged to begin the registration process with Student Accessibility Services early.
✔ Step 4
✔Ìý Your Unicard is your official campus identification and all-access pass forÌýlibraries, and active living facilities. Avoid the line by submitting your photo to Campus Service Centre online.
✔Ìý Ancillary Services offer a wide variety of parking options. Be sure to purchase your parking permitÌýearly, to ensure you can secure a parking option that works best for you.
✔Ìý Join us in fostering a safe and healthy living and learning environment by downloading the UCSafety app.
✔ Step 5
✔Ìý ​​​Finalize your financial plan by exploring payment plans,Ìýthird party sponsorships, and cashing in yourÌýRegistered Education Saving Plan (RESP) in early August.
✔Ìý Get ready for classes by attending events and orientation, purchasing your textbooks, course-specific equipment, and swag at the .
✔Ìý Learn how toÌýpay your feesÌýonline and make sure you account for processing time.
