Webinars are group information sessions that are hosted virtually through Zoom. Workshops are group sessions that may be hosted virtually or in-person (pending public health restrictions). Workshops often include activities and participation.

Canadian Immigration
International Student Services (ISS) has regulated Canadian immigration advisors available to help you with your study permit, work permit, visa and other immigration questions.
A Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) will present basic information on Permanent Residence pathways that may be available to you. Registration is mandatory. Sessions fill up very quickly and therefore we suggest signing up early if you wish to attend, as this session has a maximum capacity of 30 students.
This session is only available to current UCalgary Degree Seeking Students and Recent Graduates.ĚýThis session is not open to Exchange students, Visiting Students, English language students (ESL and IFP Non-Degree), or Foreign Workers on campus.

Through this workshop you will learn how to effectively explore career options, search for jobs and set goals. Explore the possibility of staying in Canada to work with a Post Graduate Work Permit. A brief overview of Permanent Residency options will also be provided.

Join the immigration advisors from International Student Services (ISS) and learn how to apply for your post-graduation open work permit (PGWP). 
This presentation will provide an overview of how to apply for a PGWP and tips on what you can do to improve your application.

Is your study permit expiring soon? International Student Services recommends applying for a study permit extension 4 months prior to expiration of your current document.
In this session a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) will present basic information on how to apply for a study permit extension.
There will be a discussion on how to demonstrate proof of financials and enrollment.
Registration is required. Please register with your UCalgary email.

Pre-arrival Program
The Pre-arrival program for international students is an online program on D2L that’s available to all incoming UCalgary international students. The program contains all the important information you need to know before and after your arrival. It’ll help ease your transition and help support you to thrive at UCalgary.
Once you’ve registered for at least one credit course, you’ll be automatically enrolled in the pre-arrival program. To access D2L platform, you must .Ěý
