Fall 2024 housing
For Fall 2024,Ìýdue to a higher-than-normal demand for on-campus housing,ÌýResidence is fullÌýand is experiencing waitlists throughout all Residence buildings.ÌýIf you choose to apply to live in residence, they will place you on a waitlist. However, Residence is unable to guarantee that you'll receive a housing offer. The waitlist is moving slowly and at this point, chances are low of getting a room in Residence. If they can extend you a housing offer, they'll contact you with more information and instructions on how to accept the housing offer.
Please refer to off-campus housing for more options.
Choosing to live on campus
UCalgary offers a variety of on-campus residences spaces. Students who choose to live on-campus do so because it allows you to be conveniently located close to your classes as well as other campus resources and provides great opportunities for meeting other students. It's also possible to arrange living in residence before you arrive in Calgary.Ìý

Types of residence options
The types of residence options available to you differ depending on your year of study and what most appeals to you. This also means that you’ll be living with people experiencing the same things – learning how to do laundry, writing a thesis or being away from home for the first time.
Our residence rooms are fully furnished, and some have cooking facilities. The university also has aÌý, where students can purchase a meal plan.
Spots in residence fill up quickly, so apply as soon as possible*! Applications typically open in December for the following year.
