The Faith andÌýSpirituality Centre has a great drop-in space for all.ÌýStudy, eat your lunch, meet new people, or simply relax.ÌýWe have free snacks, coffee and tea, and a variety of activities.
Want to improve your English conversation, reading, and writing skills? We provide free one-on-one tutoring for adults who speak English as a second language (ESL) and individuals with developmental disabilities. To apply, email at Ìý
Practice your language skills in casual, social environments by joining a student club or committee, sports team, fitness class, volunteer program, or faith community. Here are a few examples.

The Students' Union has a searchable database of independent tutors who can help with a range of subjects. Tutors are current or past UCalgary students.
This term-based program pairs students to share or learn a language. After you're matched, you meet once a week with your partner. Applications usually open at the start of fall and winter terms.
Writing Support offers creative coaching to help you become a more effective communicator. They recognize the role that writing plays in inquiry and learning, and offer:

Resources in the Calgary community
The Calgary Public Library offersÌýseveral programs open to residents of Calgary aimed at helping adults, youth, and families with children. Some programs require registration, while others are drop-in. The Calgary Public Library also provides access to newspapers and books in many languages. Check out these resources:
