Benefits Overview

This is intended as a general summary of group benefits, pension and other programs offered through employment with the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ. Different AUPE employment types may have different provisions, please review the job posting or your offer letter for further details.

Health and Dental

  • Comprehensive core health and dental plan.
  • Health coverage includes, but is not limited to prescription medication, vision wear, and paramedicals.
  • Dental coverage includes, but is not limited to basic services (e.g., oral exams), major services (e.g., crowns), and orthodontics (e.g., braces).
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) - $850 which can be allocated to a Health Spending Account (HSA) and/or Wellness Spending Account (WSA).
  • Alberta Blue Cross Balance online wellness program.

Retirement Programs

  • Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP) - effective date of hire.

Paid Time Off

  • Vacation - starting at three (3) weeks per year.
  • Personal Leave Days (PLDs) - three (3) PLDs per year.

Life Insurance and Long Term Disability (LTD)

  • LTD - effective six (6) months from date of hire.
  • Group Life Insurance - effective six (6) months from date of hire.
