As a full-time or part-time Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà Support Staff member, you may be eligible to participate in the Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP). The PSPP is a defined benefit plan designed to provide you with continued income after you retire.

Leaving the Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ

Employment Termination

Within six to eight weeks after the last day of employment, PSPP's administrative services provider, Alberta Pension Services Corporation, will mail you a pension options package. Ensure your current address is provided in myUCalgary> all about me > my info.

You do not need to contact Human Resources or Alberta Pension Services Corporation to request your options package. However, if you do not receive it after eight weeks, contact HR Pension Analyst at totalrewards@ucalgary.ca.Ìý

Preparing for Retirement

Support Staff are eligible to retire with an immediate pension from the Public Service Pension Plan if they are over 55 and have accumulated two or more years of pensionable service.
