  • Assigned a one-to-oneÌýposition numberÌýin the HR System
  • Active positions are used for annual budgeting and planning purposes
  • Active positions count against a department budget’s spend until that position is inactivated in the HR System

Recruitment Requirements:

  • Job Profile required
  • Funding approval required
  • Job Opening requested and approved via the Job Opening Request form (located in the myUCalgary Portal under My work)
  • Posting required - minimum of seven days
  • Offer letter produced
  • Probation completed after six months

Work Schedule:ÌýFlexible (based on business priorities) around a 35 hour work week.

Time Sheet:

  • Support Staff Limited TermÌýwhen the position supports base operations and is charged directly to base operating funds.*
    or
  • Support Staff Limited Term (Project)Ìýwhen the position is directly charged to a non-research project.

*Applies even if the salary is recovered from non-research project funds

Appointments cannot be less than six (6) months or more than two (2) years.
